Jack Welsh is a researcher, writer and artist.
Combining his various professional and theoretical interests, his practice encompasses sculpture, drawing and installation to reconstitute the elements, signs and processes inherent in urbanism.
His hybrid objects examine spatial, material and physical elements that draw on visual and contextual information appropriated from globalised urban locales.
Recent drawings and digital collages explore notions of authorship, exchange and reproduction through systematically removing and manipulating adverts from art magazines to create new flat and sculptural forms.
He is a Fine Art Lecturer at Liverpool Hope University and Honorary Research Associate at the University of Liverpool.
